A correspondence between a class of monoids and self-similar group actions II
نویسندگان
چکیده
We describe a correspondence between a class of left cancellative monoids and self-similar group actions in the sense of Nekrashevych et al. This correspondence originated in Perrot’s 1972 thesis, and developed the ideas to be found in Rees’ 1948 paper. 2000 AMS Subject Classification: 20M10, 20M50.

A monoid associated with a self-similar group action
We prove that there is a correspondence between self-similar group actions and the class of left cancellative right hereditary monoids satisfying the dedekind height property. The monoids in question turn out to be coextensive with the Zappa-Szép products of free monoids and groups, and the ideal structure of the monoid reflects properties of the group action. These monoids can also be viewed a...
متن کاملبررسی اثر کامپوزیت فلو (لاینر) و نوع باندینگ بر ریزنشت کامپوزیت Z250در حفرات کلاس II (در محیط آزمایشگاهی)
Background and Objective: Microleakage is the most important reason for secondary caries and treatment failure. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of liner (flowable composite) and bonding agents on microleakage of resin composite (z250) in class II cavities. Materials and Methods: Standardized Class II cavities were prepared on mesial and distal of 80 human premolars. The teet...
متن کاملZappa-Szép products of free monoids and groups
We prove that left cancellative right hereditary monoids satisfying the dedekind height property are precisely the Zappa-Szép products of free monoids and groups. The ‘fundamental’ monoids of this type are in bijective correspondence with faithful self-similar group actions. 2000 AMS Subject Classification: 20M10, 20M50. 1 A class of left cancellative monoids This paper develops some ideas that...
متن کاملSelf - similar group actions and a paper of David Rees
We show that David Rees’ 1948 paper on the structure of left cancellative monoids stands at the threshold of the theory of self-similar group actions, and in doing so correct an error in a paper by Nivat and Perrot. 2000 AMS Subject Classification: 20M05, 20M12, 20M18.
متن کاملMicroleakage in Class V Cavities Restored with Sandwich Technique: Self-Etch versus Total-Etch Bonding Systems
Objective: Microleakage has always been a problem in restorative dentistry. To decrease microleakage, modern bonding systems, different application methods and sandwich technique have been recommended. The purpose of this study was to assess the microleakage in class V cavities restored with open sandwich technique using self-etch and total-etch bonding systems. Methods: In this in vitro st...
